Services for Schools and Nurseries

Communican Speech and Language Therapy can work with your setting to provide the best possible service for the young people in your care with Speech, Language and Communication Needs. I can offer set packages, or create a bespoke package just for your setting. Take a look at some of the services I can offer below.

Speech Therapist

Assessment

These can be comprehensive formal assessments for specific individuals, or brief screening assessments for whole classes/groups. 

I can provide full or summary reports and/or target sheets and programmes for staff and parents. 

Intervention

I can offer 1:1 or group intervention sessions depending on the needs of the individuals. Additionally, I can provide staff demonstrations and support to deliver intervention through targets and programmes provided. 

 

Here are some examples of group sessions I have previously carried out:

  • Attention and Listening 

  • speech sound/ phonological awareness 

  • Zones of Regulation 

  • AAC 

  • Lego based therapy 

  • Narrative language/story telling

Training and Workshops

I can offer training on a range of topics that can be tailored to suit your need. Whether it is a 1 hour twilight training session or a whole inset day, I can support your school or nursery to develop the skills and knowledge needed to support the individuals with SLCN in your setting.
